Research Night (Rescheduled)
Research Night is an event aimed about educating individuals about epilepsy, while inspiring individuals who are passionate about careers in the neurosciences. We will be featuring Dr. Anita Datta presenting her research on “Clinical Significance of incidental Rolandic Spikes in Children with Absence Epilepsy” in combination with presenting up to date medical information about the basics of understanding epilepsy. Dr. Anita works at BC Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist and will provide a unique perspective to understanding epilepsy from the unique perspective of a Neurologist. You will have the change ask question to Dr. Anita about her science journey, in addition to questions about epilepsy and her research. This is an opportunity to gain volunteer hours and become involved with an organization aimed to educate society about the neurosciences, and fostering a community of likeminded individuals.
Epilepsy : Share The Experience

Join us for an evening with presentations and talks by people with epilepsy and from an epilepsy and seizure disorder educator! By participating, you will be directly supporting those with epilepsy and seizure disorders. Make a difference and learn about a disorder that impacts almost 360,000 Canadians.
Guest Speakers include Christine Jamieson, a Miss Canada winner with epilepsy from the BC Epilepsy Society, and Vineetha Nakka, an educator from The Center for Epilepsy and Seizure Education in British Columbia. Video presentation from epilepsyQuesnel founder Natasha Wasmuth will also be presented.
